I had crazy dreams last night. Um…I remember them, but they’re so hard to describe, I’m not even gonna try. But yeah, they were just plain weird. *shrugs* I woke up at 6:34 this morning. It sucked. The creepy thing about it, though, is that before I went to sleep (at 1:20 AM, lol), I thought to myself, “Ya know? I’ve really gone a long time without waking up in the middle of the night. So awesome.” *shakes head* I jinxed myself.

I officially got up at 10:00 this morning, when mom woke me up with a light in my face (I had a little light that dad borrowed that I wanted back and mom brought it in my room and woke me up by turning it on in front of my sleeping eyes and blinding me awake). I went out to the living room to say hi to mom and such and we pretty much just chilled for a while. I was feeling somewhat clingy today, lol.

OH! Okay, so, like I said yesterday, we went to Dunkin Donuts and picked up some donuts. Well, since they’re so far away, I really kinda treasure whatever donuts I get cuz I can’t get more for a very long time. I had one that I was saving for today for breakfast. Guess what? My douche of a brother ATE IT last night.

It’s not the fact that I now have no donut that I’m upset about, lol, it’s the principle of it. He should have made sure that no one else was gonna eat that donut. And the thing is, he does this all the time. Drinks stuff that’s mine, eats food I’ve put away in the fridge for later. Not just to me, either, to everyone. I HATE IT. This is why I need my own mini-fridge in my room. I must protect my food, lol.

I got online for a while and then mom made me some delicious chocolate chip waffles. Deliciousness. I posted a vid that I made last night just cuz…well, I wanted to make a vid. *shrugs* Mom and dad left to do some grocery shopping for the coming week. See, Wednesday is their anniversary (20th! ) and they’re going to this quaint little cabin we stayed in last Christmas. It’s pretty nice there. So, Nick and I are gonna be alone for five days.

We now have just about EVERYTHING in the kitchen, lol. Lots of stuff in the fridge and we can’t fit anything else in the freezer, lol. So YAY FOOD! XD I washed dishes whilst they were gone, which sucked, but I listened to some Christmas music and that cheered me up. I spent most of the day catching up on TDS/TCR and chilling on Facebook. The bad thing about Facebook? IT FREEZES ALL THE TIME (and, therefore, freezes my computer).

Have I ever mentioned how much I love it when Jon and Stephen tear up their scripts/cards? It’s so cute. Oh, speaking of things that are cute, I saw *two* of the Colbert Christmas Special commercials and I think I was clinically dead for twenty seconds. I cannot – CANNOT – wait for that special. Holy fudge-monkeys. I wants it nao. *grabby Stephen hands* COLBERT CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, PLZ!

I posted a couple TDS vids earlier that were fantastically amazering. I’ve gotta say, Jon was stunningly spot-on last week. And Stephen is pure adorable, as usual. The title of this post is from the ep of TCR where Stephen was at the International Spy Museum. I squee’d during that segment cuz HOLY FUCK I was there! I touched the same door as Stephen and walked on the same sidewalk! GAHHH! XD 

I also watched some eps from two weeks ago (I know, I know). SO good. <3 I really should watch these when they’re on so I don’t get so far behind, lol. Holy crap, I feel SO Christmas-y today. I think I may write a Jon/Stephen Christmas ficlet. Maybe. Okay, I *really* need to post this vid cuz I just saw it and it’s so hilarious. Especially Stephen’s reaction at 1:43. <3

Mom and I went to the store about an hour ago (5:00), and a country (aka SHIT) version of “I Wanna Know What Love Is” was playing. I started singing along and we were at the check-out line. I was standing near the cashier and he heard me singing along and he was like, “Do you like this song?” and I said, “I like the original. Haha.” And he said, “I don’t think I know who does the original.” So I said, “Foreigner.” After everything was rung up, he said, “I think Foreigner does Hot Blooded, too.” And I was like, “Yep! Right, that’s a good song, too.”

That was a totally pointless story. *shakes head*

I dreamt about porn last night, lol. Is that bad? I dunno, it was a fun dream, lol. *shrugs*

I slept til 10:00 but didn’t get up til about 20 minutes later. I came out to the living room to say hi to everyone and then I pretty much chilled til 11:40, when we went to get some lunch. We stopped at this awesome place by the coffee shop about fifteen minutes away from home. The food was good but it’s a sports place, so they had the OSU/Northwestern game on and ASSHOLES were cheering everytime OSU progressed. I hate that SO MUCH.

And I was pissed cuz Northwestern lost miserably. *sadface* But South Carolina won! So not a total loss today, I guess. I don’t follow college football, like, at all, but when I heard Northwestern was playing OSU today, I wanted to pay attention to the game. The reason for our outing was to go car shopping. We were only sposed to look at cars today, but finally, after a few hours, we found a great car that mom loved so we bought it.

It’s lovely. Really cute. A silver 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible. Sleek and smooth with leather and suede inside and it’s just wonderful, lol. And it’s used, but barely, and it was about $8,000. So we got it and mom drove it home tonight. We found the car at about 3:30 but with all the shit we had to go through, we didn’t get home til 6:15-ish.

We stopped at Dunkin Donuts earlier in the day and I got some hot chocolate. It was pretty good. It was cold out today, and freakishly windy, so we needed the coffee/hot chocolate. And, of course, we got some donuts. I love their donuts. They’re the best. I wish they weren’t so far away, but oh well, I spose.

Um…other than that, not much happened today. I took a new pic of mahself and uploaded it to Facebook/MySpace. I think it’s really nice, lol. I don’t usually think too highly of the pics I take of myself, but I think this one came out great. Here it is. Ugly? Decent? Thoughts? Causticchick informed me last night that if I purchase a Flip Mino Camcorder from CafePress, I can customize it to have whatever image I want on the front (JPEG/PNG, of course). It’s cool, but no matter what pic I used, none fit properly. Like, none of them fully covered the front. Oh, well. I’m gonna fiddle with it a little more, but I did save my three favorite that I customized yesterday and I took a screen-cap of ‘em so you can see ‘em: here ya go. They’re kinda hard to see, actually…but, um, here: teh first, teh second, teh third.

I woke up this morning to a surreal feeling. It was amazing. Barack Obama is our president. I know everyone keeps saying that, but it’s insane to think that I was here. I was watching. I saw it happen. And Jon Stewart told me. There is no way last night could’ve been any more fantastic.

I stayed up to watch Indecision08, of course, as well as McCain’s concession speech. I wanted to watch Obama’s speech, but it was nearing midnight already and I had to get to bed. I caught some highlights on the news, though, and I liked something he said a lot, so it’s the title of tonight’s post.

Anywho, I was feeling sickly this morning (coughing, stuffy/runny nose, and a sore throat), but mom and dad don’t really want me to stay home anymore than I absolutely have to, so I went to school. Photo was a period to critique our assignment that we turned in last week. We had to capture light and sound in pictures. I think I did a good job. I was actually incredibly proud of those pics, but I got a 29/40 and that bummed me out. Oh, well.

I didn’t really get critiqued, which, imo, is a good thing. I don’t like being critiqued, lol. I’m very sensitive when it comes to my work. *shrugs* Moving on. A douchebag in that class said to me, “I bet you’re really happy bout yesterday.” And I nodded and smiled, but I didn’t say anything, and she was like, “Yeah, well, I hope they do a recount and find a mistake and say that McCain actually won.” I hate people at my school. For serious.

Math was boring. I was coughing and blowing my nose ALL through first period, so I texted mom to say I really wanted to go home and lay down. So she texted me back and said she’d come and get me. I was grateful, but worried about seeing mom, cuz she (and dad) make me feel like a terrible person for not wanting to be in school whilst sick. They don’t like it when I miss school, so they get upset when I’m sick.

She seemed kinda annoyed, but I didn’t let it get to me. We went to get some medicine cuz we didn’t have any at home. When we got home, I had some tea and toast (and medicine, blech) and then I slept for three or so hours. Sleep is so good. I need more of it, lol. OH! This morning, before I left, mom dragged me into her room and told me to close my eyes and put my hands out. GUESS WHAT I GOT?!?! THIS FUCKING AWESOME SHIRT.

I squee’d and mom said she’d prolly get me another one cuz CC.com’s shop was having a sale yesterday. WIN. I’m so stoked, I love my shirt. It made me happy, LOL. So, yeah, back to the timeline of today. I woke up at about 2:30, I think, and immediately got online. I was greeted with terrible, terrible news: Michael Crichton passed away today. I did post about it prior to this cuz I loved him and he needed his own post. Jen gave me great advice and I love her for it, and she’s been through her own author!loss, so thanks, Jen. <333 It means a lot.

After that, I read celli’s latest installment of 30 Little Things and that cheered me up a bit, lol. So thanks to celli, cuz I needed the happiness of a new installment. Oh, and guys? Watching TV without the bash ads? Prolly the best thing ever. I love not seeing commercials about dishonesty and hate. AND Bones is new tonight! YAY!

Do any of you watch 24? Cuz they totally predicted the presidential election. By the end of the first season, David Palmer, a black man, was elected President. Now, check it out: we’ve got our first black President. Now, 24 has a woman as President in the upcoming 24 Movie, which is later this month. Interesting, no? Maybe it’s only interesting to me, lol. But hey, keep your eyes open in 2012 for women running for Prez. ;]

I think that’s it. I still feel lousy but I’m excited for Jeopardy and Bones. <3 And I’ll have to screencap/icon some Indecision stuff when I get the chance.

I swear, after today, I’ll stop with the excessive swearing and shouting, lol. ;D But for the time being, WHOOOT! Fucking Election Day! <3 I’m STOKED for Indecision 2008! Jon and Stephen are fucking adorable, of course, and to prove it, CHECK IT BELOW.

I slept awful last night, lol. I think I was too excited about today to actually sleep well. I got up right when my alarm went off cuz my rents were going to leave right then to go vote. So I got up and dressed right quick and was out in the living room in, like, three minutes. That’s fast for me. X]

Mom and dad left pretty much immediately. Usually, Nick doesn’t get up when we tell him to – he’s a ridiculously sound sleeper – but, today, dad went to get him up once before they left and then five minutes later, Nick was up. I was stunned and pleased, cuz I didn’t wanna try to get him up, lol.

We chilled and watched the news til 7:00, which is when we typically leave, but then mom and dad got home RIGHT then and told us (quickly) about their voting experience, lol. The place they went to was doing the voting alphabetically, and apparently, no one was there that had a last name that went before “Doerfler.” So mom and dad were able to go right away! WIN!

Okay, so, I took some pics for photo cuz we have an assignment due Thursday. I did two rolls, but I kinda fucked both of them up. One of them got stuck when I was re-winding it (yes, I use an old camera, we have to, lol) and being the idiot that I am, I forced it and it ripped in half. Turns out it never even wound properly and I didn’t get any pics on the roll. *headdesk*

The other roll, it didn’t seem like it was winding so I popped the back open to see cuz I thought it was done winding, and as it turned out, the film was NOT done winding and I was in a rather bright area and I prolly over-exposed the film. Yeah, I kinda suck, LOL. So that’s TWO rolls of film down the drain. Blahhh.

Thankfully, I had all my math homework done, so after developing my first failed roll of film, I sat down to write. I ended up not writing a single thing and, instead, contemplated doing so, lol. *shakes head* I read some of that “No Plot? No Problem!” book and Chris Baty, the guy who started NaNoWriMo, said to start a new novel, not write for one you already started (which is what I was gonna do). So now I have to start over. And I’m at 0 words.

We didn’t really do anything in math and I got most of my homework done, so whoot. We got new seats assigned, but I like where I am, so s’all good. We watched School House Rock and the SNL Presidential Bash from last night in AP Gov., though we only saw about the first fifteen-twenty minutes of the SNL special. Class ended at the start of Will Ferrel’s Bush “I Endorse McCain” sketch, which I LOVE, so I was bummed I didn’t get to watch that. Oh, well.

We convinced Mrs. Culley to let us watch a Forensic Files today, and it was finally one I haven’t seen! And it was SO INTERESTING! It’s a long story, but this crazy-ass doctor guy cut open his own left arm, inserted a pint of one of his patient’s blood (in a plastic bag container) into his arm, then put a plastic tube leading from the bag to the part of his arm where blood is usually drawn for testing and such.

He was accused of rape and the accusor had a DNA sample and wanted the good doctor’s blood to match the DNA. Well, guess what? He willingly gave THREE blood samples from his left arm, which was the patient’s blood. So the DNA never matched. Eventually, they were able to get a blood sample from his finger, not his arm, and it matched, so he got sent to prison (6 years, no parole). Kinda psychotic but yeah, crazy interesting, lol.

We had a sub in MindCandy, so we did what we always do; chilled and chatted. I love that class. Except for Annoying Kid. I HATE HIM. I want to punch his stupid fat ugly face. Except not, cuz then I’d get Annoying Kid germs on my hand. BLECH. But, yeah, we had fun today, just laughing and laughing. And our sub was like, “Are you guys sposed to be working?” We explained to him that we’re like that every day and we hardly ever work. X]

People did annoy me a bit today cuz I heard a few people shouting their support for McCain in school. And this guy in forensics who I knew last year is an avid McCain supporter, which annoys me to no end. He kept saying, “Oh, you know, McCain’s gonna win.” or “I hate uninformed voters cuz they say stuff like, ‘I hate McCain cuz he’s old so I’m voting for Obama.’” That bugged me most cuz being uninformed has nothing to do with supporting Obama.

And another guy in forensics shouted, “Obama sucks!” And blah, blah blah. I hate my conservative surroundings. Stupid fucking dumbass people. And they’re the ones who scare me the most cuz you never know what’ll happen with the election while THEY’RE out there being jackasses. *shakes head*

Mom picked me up and we went home and I was going to watch the TDS/TCR-athon, but mom wanted to hang with me and it’s ridiculously difficult for me to say no to mom, so we went to her room and laid down and talked for a bit. We wound up falling asleep and I slept for two hours. It was nice. Sleep is GOOD.

We got up to get dad from work, then stopped to get pizza, and I forced them to take me to Starbucks, lol. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that it was only hot coffee (which I don’t really like from Starbucks), so I was kinda bummed. I desperately wanted a caramel frappucino, but alas. I could not have one. And the hot coffee kinda blew. And the poor kid behind the counter was annoyed by how many free coffees he was giving out. Dad tipped him.

Um…yeah, then we came home. The title of this post is from Cash Cab. These guys were considering doing the video bonus, and one of ‘em said, “I’m vetoing.” and another one said, “…are you fucking serious?!” I just thought it was hilarious, PLUS, vetoing=election themed, lol, so it’s not completely random.

Oh, DUDES. Kelly (of “Shoes” fame, of course) was at OSU last night for a FREE fucking performance. I’m annoyed, cuz I had no idea. But a friend of mine went and she said it was hilarious and she got a picture with Kelly and GAH SO JEALOUS. X] And because it NEVER gets old…

That’s about it, I think. I believe mom, dad and I are gonna stay up and watch Indecision 2008 and perhaps some regular network coverage. I’m SO fucking excited. I’m feeling kinda sick, so maybe I can convince teh rents to let me stay home tomorrow. ;] A girl can dream, can’t she?

GUYS! HOLY FUCK GUYS! TOMORROW’S ELECTION DAY! GAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

If you can’t tell, I’m fucking excited. I’ve tried and tried, but I’m not allowed to stay home tomorrow. Alas, I shall try to have a good time in school until I can get home. Thankfully, mom can pick me up, so we’ll be heading straight home from school and I can catch coverage immediately at…1:30-ish. *is stoked* :D

Okay. *breathes* I had another vivid dream last night. This time, I dreamt that I stayed home today. In my dream, you see, I ”woke up” at 10:00 AM and strolled out into the living room. I asked mom and dad, “So, why am I staying home today?” and they said, “Meh.” I replied, “Okay.” and went back to my room, lol.

Then I had a second part of the dream that was completely independent of the first part’s plot. I saw a friend of mine, Bosco, and his girlfriend, Val, on the street, and there were a BUNCH of my classmates on the street with us. It just so happens that they were climbing into the Cash Cab as I walked up to them and I was like, “GAH GUYS! That’s the Cash Cab!” And they were like, “Wha…?”

For some reason, Ben (host of CC) climbed out of the cab and was like, “I’m on break. Be back in ten.” So he went to a cafe down the street and ALL of my classmates began blocking off the street and crowding around the cab so they could all watch Bosco and Val on teh show. Unfortunately, I woke up before Ben got back. *shrugs*

Let’s see, photo was a work period, so I did my math homework then studied for the AP Gov. test I had to make up today. We didn’t really do anything in math and I got my homework done in class, so WHOOT!  We had a debate in AP Gov. which I actually prepared our candidate for (Obama), but as it turns out, “Obama” had already prepared her own info, so all the info I gathered was thrown away. *headdesk* This is why I slack. XD

Also, I was told to make my AP Gov. test up during 5th period, so I got two more periods to study! :D We talked about blood spatter in forensics, which was kinda cool but kinda dull. Oh, in AP Gov. we discussed the levy (I’ve mentioned it a few times, but not really in-depth, I don’t think) that HAS TO PASS or we’ll be doing a LOT of cutting, including cutting ALL buses to high school, and that made me sad cuz the levy is totally NOT going to pass.

No one wants to pay anymore than they already do, especially with the ridiculous economy right now, so, yeah, I really truly don’t see the levy passing. SO, that bummed me out cuz I need the bus, LOL. But, MindCandy cheered me up, as usual. I love that class. And Robbins sat next to me for a while! I’m kinda fangirly about him, he’s pretty much adorably cute freakishly awesome, so, yeah, lol.

We had a free period (though we were sposed to be working on our zines, we just didn’t, lol), so we all chatted and laughed and la-ti-da. At noon, I went to make up my test and it was…okay. I studied all effing day and I still struggled with a few questions. *shakes head* Oh, well. If I did poorly, I did poorly. Nothing I can do about it now. Chris gave me a ride home.

Mom was home, so we hung out in the kitchen and listened to Christmas music, cuz we’re insane like that. We like to break out the Christmas music early. It was wonderful and jazzy and awesome. Do you guys like Manheim Steamroller? I LOVE THEM. They’re, I think, my fave of our Christmas CDs. <3

The title of this post is from that Google meme I did last night. Pushingarock did it and hers said, “Kami says…*points to title*.” And it made me laugh. X] Oh, god, guys. Obama’s grandma passed away. Now he has no parental figures in his life. :’( I started crying a little when I heard that. Utterly depressing.

It’s November 3rd and NaNoWriMo is already kicking my ass. I’ve only got something like 500 words. *headdesk* And I’m struggling cuz I wanna write my story but I think I’m trying too hard. Trying to force it. It’s like I have writer’s constipation. LOL. Oh, well, I shall keep trying.

HAPPY NOVEMBER 1ST! And welcome to NaNoWriMo. I know at least half my flist is participating, lol. I seriously considered it and decided that even if I don’t reach the goal by the end of the month, at least by participating, I can get some work done on my novel, so I might as well. So I signed up today. Username=the same as LJ. I’m excited!

I woke up at 11:00 today with a terribly painful “crick” in my neck. HOLY FUCK, it hurts. I took some ibuprofen for it, but it’s still killing me with the occasional shooting, blinding pain. *headdesk* Anywho, I took a shower and it was splendiferous, lol. Sometimes showers are just super awesome.

Then I watched a DVR’d Jeopardy from last night. Then, mom and I made some waffles for ourselves for lunch. They were delicious. I spent some time with mom in the kitchen whilst reading the latest issue of TIME. It had the list of 50 Best Inventions of 2008. Guess what made the list at #15? DR. HORRIBLE. <3 Speaking of, the title of this post is from “Everyone’s a Hero”, Captain Hammer’s song near the end.

The list was pretty awesome, I must say. There’s bionic contact lenses, the most advanced motorcycle I’ve ever seen, and even a straight-out-of-Harry-Potter invisibility cloak! It’s cool, you can check the list on TIME.com. The latest issue also had a Tech Guide, which was really helpful cuz they included a video camera whose only function is to record things, then put them on the computer. And it’s only $180! It looks awesome.

I also read about a new game that was recently released for PS3, Little Big World. I thought the cover art was kinda stupid when I saw it in the store, so I ignored it, but when I read about it, it caught my interest. I’m really into games where you can build stuff and create players (Sims, THUG, etc.). Hence my interest in this game. You can play the actual game, you can create your own levels/objects and put them in the game, or you can share stuff online with other players. It seems pretty awesome, so I’m gonna ask for it for Christmas, lol. X]

Ooh! Celli posted the latest installment of 30 Little Things; Part 14. It made me quite happy, lol. All you Colbert/Stewart fans should be reading it, cuz HOLY WHOA, it’s surrsly my fave Colbert/Stewart fic ever. I love it sooooooooo much and it’s SOOOO hot. <3 So, yeah, read it plz, lol. I’m thinking of drabbling a bit tonight, perhaps about Halloween (even though it yesterday, lol).

I’ve been listening to songs I’ve fave’d on YouTube, so I shall provide you with a classic that really never gets old.

Who else is RIDICULOUSLY excited for Tuesday?! Cuz I’m fucking flipping out, lol. I desperately wish I could stay home and watch ALL the coverage, but alas, I have to go to stupid fucking lame-ass school. Blech. Oh, well, at least I’ll get home around 1:00. That’s not bad.

Tomorrow is dad’s birthday (45th, I think…) and we’re gonna go to the bookstore (and maybe, if we can convince him, to the movies). I LOVE the bookstore, so I’m stoked. WHOOT.

I dressed up in my costume today! I had on my suit, my black wig, my eyepatch, my guitar pin, my mustache, and my stethoscope. I didn’t get a pic today, but I’ll re-dress and take a pic and post it tomorrow, scout’s honor. People were amused by my costume, lol. But I did take everything but the suit off when I went to the DARE thing.

Alrighty, we had a quiz in photo this morning, and I didn’t study, but I knew all the answers, so YAY. We did very little in math, thankfully. Oh, Pagnanelli (teacher) told us our grades from somewhat of an older test. I got one of the highest grades in class! WHOOT! And I got an extra five points on my overall grade for it.

Kay, so, today was the DARE role model thing. I got a pass that said we (there were three of us, including myself) had to leave at 9:40. Guess what that means? I didn’t have to take my AP Gov. test! Which=win cuz I totally didn’t study last night. ;D So, yeah, I got really lucky that we had to leave so early. I caught a ride with one of the other kids going, John Kinney. We actually didn’t know where the school was that we were going to, so we called the cop guy running the whole thing.

We wound up getting a little lost, but we still arrived at the school right on time. Although, the other girl that was going to this thing had arrived twenty minutes earlier, lol. *shrugs* Oh, well. We met up with Officer Blevins (I think that was his name) and talked about what this whole thing would entail and then we headed off to the two 5th grader classrooms we would be addressing.

It went really well! We talked about ourselves a little and then discussed high school, video games, TV, internet, drugs/drinking, and a bunch of other stuff! These kids were smart, guys. Ridiculously smart for being so young, imo. It was really awesome. Following the Q&A’s, we went to lunch with the kids, then recess. I met three little girls who all loved to write (and had some great fucking ideas! ) and shared my distaste for Ohio.

I normally don’t like children very much – I find them annoying – but these kids were AWESOME. Especially those three girls. I loved them, lol! I hugged ‘em all before we left, but I wish they were my age so they had a Facebook or something so we could keep in touch. Oh, well. So, then, John gave me a ride back to school and mom picked me up. We stopped at the store quickly then went home.

Dad was rushing to finish the Halloween decorations, so we all pitched in. It came out AMAZING. We did an Ancient Egyptian tomb. It rocked. I helped paint heiroglyphics and I can’t even explain it, lol.

We had most of the neighborhood come out to see it. Like, people drove to our house from all over the neighborhood. It was so cool. And a buncha people were like, “Yeah, we remembered how great you guys were last year, we had to come see what you did this year.” And a woman said that her daughter had been saying all year that they had to come back to our house for Halloween. Dad was SO thrilled. <3

Unfortunately, we gave away most of our candy, and Nick and I don’t really trick-or-treat anymore (long story), so we only get what’s left, which is very little. I think Nick and I might have to stop in at the store in the next coupla days and get on sale Halloween candy. XD WHOOT. Oh, title of this post is from Wife Swap. One of the husbands said that they believe in the karma bank, and the bitchy wife said that. *points to title*

I’m suddenly exhausted. Huh. Sorry this post took so long, I was out with teh rents giving out candy and such. It’s fun watching kids get scared, LOL! Oh, yeah, and I’m kinda annoyed with myself cuz I didn’t finish the story I wanted done by tonight. I’m gonna have to work on it this weekend cuz I NEED to finish it. Grr.

What a long day! I’m so glad it’s almost over, lol, I’m exhausted. XD I had a vivid dream last night, but I forgot it on the way to school, so, yeah. Epic fail, hehe.

During photo (which, if you remember from yesterday, was a free period), I felt completely and utterly nauseous. I was so nervous about the 18 in 08 thing. But eventually, I calmed down and stopped feeling so sick, lol. Mom texted me at the start of math to say that she was there (she came to see the assembly). So I went down to meet her at the door and then she and I went to the PAC (the auditorium).

Eventually, Messick arrived. She and I chatted about the whole thing and then David Burstein (creator of 18 in 08) arrived. He was a little late, but it was okay, cuz the entire event was about fifteen minutes behind schedule. Once all the students had filed in and I got the okay from Kruder to get started, I got on stage and did my little intro to the film. It went incredibly smoothly. I was so afraid it would suck, but it didn’t, lol.

See, I have this problem with speaking in front of people. I get really nervous and start swallowing a lot and having to stop halfway through a sentence cuz I’m out of air and my hands usually tend to shake. BUT, none of the above happened! I dunno why I was suddenly so calm about it, but it wasn’t as big a deal as I made it out to be in my head. Anywho, most of the students enjoyed the film (and if they didn’t, they can bite me, lol).

Then David got up and talked about the film, then I intro’d Mary Jo Kilroy (a representative from our 15th district) and she talked a little. THEN we did a short Q&A. I told everyone a bajillion times that it was non-partisan, and yet, two dumbass students in the audience asked TOTALLY partisan questions. It annoyed me. But it’s okay, the other questions weren’t partisan, so that was good.

I thanked everyone and then Mr. McClure (principal) got up and said, “I’d just like to thank Miranda for setting all this up.” And everyone applauded me. It felt really good, lol, I don’t get applause very often, LOL. XD So, yeah, it was nice. Afterwards, Mr. McClure shook my hand and thanked me off-stage and met my mom and chatted with her a little. Messick met mom, too, and they get along real well, lol. Oh, and Messick hugged me! :D

Nick told me yesterday that he really didn’t understand the importance of voting. He’s a junior, and the assembly was only for seniors, but I wanted him to see the movie, so I wrote him a pass and he came today. He was so nice to me (RARE) and he actually said he was proud of me! It was shocking. And later, he told me that the movie totally changed his mind and he realized his vote is important and now he totally cares about voting! <3

I was on a relief-high after all that cuz I was THRILLED that it was all over, lol, and I told mom, “Ya know, if you wanna go ahead and take me with you, that’d be fine” (I still had two periods to go, but I didn’t feel like staying). And guess what? She said okay! That was awesome. I love leaving school early, lol. So we went to get lunch and then she dropped me off at Starbucks so she could go to a meeting with her boss.

I got delicious coffee, of course. Eventually, mom came and picked me up and we came home. I practiced my routine three times in a row, lol. Then we left for an appointment mom had. I rocked out in the car the whole time. XD Twas quite fun, actually. At 4:30, we picked dad up and then teh rents dropped me off at school. I embarass easily when it comes to being up in front of people, so I asked mom and dad not to come and they agreed. <333

I helped set up the chairs for the audience in the X Theater, which is where we held Gallery X. ;] The show went very well! And David Rutz (a senior last year, now a freshman in college) stopped by to perform! It was really nice to see him, I missed him. My routine went on without a hitch, thankfully. I didn’t screw up once. *WHOOT* And I wrote a quote from Stephen on my hand to keep me going: ”[I'll do] anything for a laugh.” The title of this post is from the Dancing Muchachos song, lol.

Uh, so…after the show, we cleaned everything up and got to drink the left-over soda and eat the left-over popcorn and cotton candy. Scrumptious, I say. X] And I got an extra cotton candy for Nick cuz he LOVES cotton candy. Then mom and dad picked me up and we went home and watched Jeopardy (which we DVR’d). And I knew the answer the Final Jeopardy, which I NEVER know the answer to, lol! It was AWESOME.

And now we’re all caught up. I’m totally wiped out, but I will be up for…prolly another hour and 20 mins, til 11:00. I’ve got a huge test on Friday in AP Gov., which=suckishness. The problem with that, lol, is that I have a short story I’m working on that I want done by Halloween (it’s Halloween-themed), but I don’t think I’ll have enough time. *is bummed* I do get out of half my school day, though, cuz I have a DARE thing at an elementary school! :D

I’m done now, I swear, lol.

I had another crazy dream I remembered this morning. I don’t wanna go into detail cuz the more I think about a certain part, the more grossed-out I get (it has to do with my brother and bleeding and it scares me a little, lol), but one part I remember in particular is that Nick and I were IN a Spyro game. But a certain part: in the third game, you get to skateboard (as Spyro, of course). So, yeah, we were in a new skateboard level. Twas kinda cool.

From yesterday to tomorrow, we have a free period in photo, so I did AP Gov. homework, lol. Math was blahhh. Teach gave us TWO assignments, both of which are ridiculously long. *headdesk* AP Gov. was cool, we didn’t really do anything. Forensics was incredibly dull, as usual. Gahhh, I’m glad that’s a half-year class. We turned in quote poems today (I used Stephen’s quote about laughing rather than being afraid).

But during MindCandy, Mr. Smith (a totally awesome dude who works in the office) came and got me from class and Messick, Miss Kopp (my English teacher from two years ago) and I all went to the office to talk about “18 in ’08.” See, the people at 18 in 08 wanted me to pay for the dude’s cab fare who’s coming to school tomorrow. And we don’t have the money for him (and, really it’s not our responsibility to pay for this guy’s cab).

So we talked about what we could do. Mr. Smith said he’d be more than willing to go pick this guy up, but we tried calling him (his name’s David), and he didn’t answer his phone. Mr. Smith sent David an email, but as of now, I have not heard anything and it’s freaking me out a little. David better have flown out here today like he said he would and if he didn’t, I’m gonna be SEVERELY pissed off.

Anywho, it went very well, and afterwards, Chris gave me a ride home. Mom was home, but dad had the car today, so she couldn’t pick me up. We hung out and I made hot chocolate cuz I was FREEZING. It’s pretty cold here. Well, actually, it’s not that cold, but the wind is blowing really hard, which makes it feel colder than it is. *shudders*

We had quite a fun time. I got my math homework done (:O) and we listened to the Rocky Horror soundtrack. <3 And it was nice. Oh, we had candy, too, lol. When Nick got home, he joined us and I helped him with his homework (he’s doing something we did a few weeks ago). And he wasn’t a jerk! It was amazing, LOL. XD

The title of this post is something dad said to me. I was holding my hand out like Vader does to choke someone (WITH THE MOTHERFUCKING FORCE…), and dad was like, “What are you, Darth Vader?” As a matter of fact, I was, indeed, acting like Darth Vader. It’s funner out of context. ;]

Tomorrow is “18 in ’08″! GOD, I’m so excited. At 11:00 AM tomorrow morning, I will officially be 40% more calm, lol! I can’t wait til this whole thing is all over. And Gallery X is tomorrow night. I practiced the Dancing Muchachos routine last night and I’m pretty sure I have it down, but I have to practice a few more times tonight. WHOOT.

OH! And don’t forget, guys! Tomorrow night is when LiveJournal goes offline! That’s about it. I did have a much better day today, everyone’s very chill, lol. So. Yay!

Gahhh what a nightmare today has been. I slept really well last night, though, lol.

Photo was decent, we didn’t really do anything. I did my math homework. Math was okay. We didn’t really do much. Um…we also didn’t do much in AP Gov. Went on a tangent, ya know. Same ol’, same ol’. Messick and I had some work to do for 18 in ’08, so she and I stayed after class and went to the office. We got some stuff worked out and I had to call a BUNCH of people tonight cuz of it, so that was kinda suckish.

Oh, and I met this teacher, Mr. Kruder (sp?), who I’ve heard quite a bit about and wow. He’s pretty damn cute cool, imo. Anywho, I got to miss most of forensics, which rocked. And my friend let me copy off of him, lol, so yay. MindCandy was pure awesome. That girl, Olivia, who drew that cute manga drawing I posted last week is working on a manga drawing of the whole class! It’s SO awesome. And we chilled and chatted with Robbins today. <3

I had to make up a math quiz after MindCandy, which BLEW cuz it was no calculator. Gross. I don’t think I did very well. Grr. My own fault, I forgot to study. I got stopped in the hallway by Messick, who told me we had to talk to the principal about some shit for 18 in ’08 again. We got done fairly quickly, thankfully.

Mom picked me up and we went home. We called a buncha people we had to contact for 18 in ’08 and got virtually everything done. At about 1:30, we went to a blood drive down the street. Unfortunately, neither mom nor I had enough iron in our blood to donate at the time, so we couldn’t. Meh. The title of this post is from Kingdom Hearts. I love that quote, it’s epic and beautifully true.

I gave mom my report card when we got home and got yelled at and I think most of you read my last post where I mentioned the consequences, but I’ll repeat them. My computer time has been severely limited and I’m not allowed to watch as much TV anymore, though I dunno what that means…I only watch TV with my rents most of the time, so…yeah.

I confirmed pretty much everything for 18 in ’08. It’s still a huge weight on my mind, though. Guh. I’ll be happy when it’s Thursday and everything’s behind me. Speaking of shit that’s stressing me out, Gallery X is Wednesday and I haven’t practiced the Dancing Muchachos routine in, like, two weeks. I really should. I’m so nervous about doing it up on stage in front of people. *shudders*

That’s about it, I guess. I just wanted to say I really love you guys, lol, you pretty much KICK ASS. <3
