“I’m in Ur Flux Fluxing Ur Flux!”

Hello people!

So, Edwards and Giuliani have dropped out of the race. I don't like Giuliani at all, so, yay, but Edwards was a good guy. I don't think I'd have voted for him, but he was a cooly guy, lol. He was funny and smart and just, ya know, cooly. :] Oh, well.

Thank FRANK it's almost the weekend. I can't take much more school. The excessive amount of work I've been getting lately is really takin it's toll on me. I feel like I can't think straight anymore. Ugh.

Uncle Mike is sposed to be coming over this weekend. However, there's a huge snow storm coming here tonight (most especially where my uncle lives). That means that there's a 50% chance he won't come over at all, which would *ROCK,* lol. AND, my dad tells me that there's a chance we'll get severely bad ice and we might have the day off tomorrow, which, as the previous sentence states, would *ROCK!*

We're watching A Knight's Tale in Brit Lit. I dunno if I've already said that, but if so, oh, well, lol. I LOVE that movie. Tis so funny. And I love the jousting in it. Always been fascinated by medieval times, and the jousting is super cooly.

I just watched a video from an episode of The Colbert Report from what I believe was Tuesday's episode. It was where Jon came on to prove to Stephen that HE made Conan, so, therefore, he made Huckabee. It was hilarious, but the thing I loved most was their little handshake things they did. They are just so adorable. Especially as a pair; they just have the best chemistry and you can tell they have a great time together. Me loves it, lol! :]

I wonder if Chuck is on tonight. I dunno how much TV I can watch with the homework I have; it's not really a lot, but it's gonna take me a while, lol. I have to write an entire story tonight [and a lengthy pre-write] and I have no idea what I want to happen with said story, lol, so, shaaa, tis going to take me a while. I should prolly get on that, LOL.

Presidential Classroom – I Need Your Help!

Hello people!

Okay, here's the dealio: I've been invited to go to Washington, D.C. in the Presidential Classroom program, which I'm very stoked about, lol. However, I don't have enough money to go at the moment. Presidential Classroom's website allows for those of us that want to attend and don't have enough money to raise funds by having friends and family (and the occasional random stranger, lol) donate money.

I need to point two things out, though: [1] none of the money donated to help me out goes to me. It goes directly to Presidential Classroom. I never see a cent of it. [2] every donation made is TAX DEDUCTABLE. And isn't that a plus for everyone? ;]

Please go here to make a donation for me:

Click on “Sponser a Student” on the left side of the screen, then type in my full name (Miranda Doerfler, incase you don't know, lol). It should come up with Miranda Doerfler in Galloway, OH just below the search engine. That's me! :] Click and donate, please, lol!

I really appreciate any and all help. Thanks for reading! :]

Is it Hot in Here or is it Just Maine?

Hello people!

The wind today was SUPER CRAZY! And last night. It was just INSANE. Like, it was even louder than the teacher in school and when I got out of the car today, I couldn't breathe, it was blowing so hard.

Quick explanation of the title of this blog, lol: today, my t-shirt said, “Townie, Bar Harbor, ME.” David (Rutz) said he didn't get it. The following is the dialogue (or what I can remember) from that convo:

ME: Bar Harbor…Maine…
DAVID: Oh, Maine.
ME: You didn't know that?
DAVID: Well, usually, ME means “me.”
ME: Well, yeah, but I figured the town name, Bar Harbor, before the ME would tip you off to it being a state, haha.
*don't remember what went on next*
DAVID: Is it hot in here, or is it just Maine?
ME: *insane laughter*

:] I thought it was hilarious. And my parents agree, lol. Just wanted to tell y'all that.

OMG, man, Creative Writing is gonna brutally murder me then drop my body in a marsh and wait for me to be found. It is so difficult. The due dates for all my stories are SO CLOSE TOGETHER! I mean, I'm a writer, but I'm not that freaking good, I can't come up with a crapload of good ideas and get them in on time along with pre-writing for every single one! AHH! So crazy! :]

American Idol was funny tonight. Especially Randy. I don't remember specifically what he said that I thought was so funny, but he said something hilarious, lol. Moment of Truth, though…that show is stupid and asks retarded questions, but I can't stop watching it. I really like it, lol. It's just…I dunno, it's interesting. Some of the questions are really funny, and I think I could totally do it. I never do anything bad, so I'd never have to lie or anything, LOL. XD

Today was my “I don't care” day. As I said in a previous post (last night's), I had a lot of homework to do, but this morning, in study hall, I said, ”fuck it” and just didn't do anything. And it felt good to not care, lol. I did some homework to night, although, of course, I left some for tomorrow. ;]

I've got another post coming, and it's MAJOR, so please pay attention to it, lol!

Now Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait a Minute!

Hello people!

Today, I had a debate with Zac over who was the real Sun God in Ancient Egyptian mythology, lol. And I won. Cuz guess what? I was right. I knew I was right, lol. Don't take that as me being cocky, lol, I just meant that Zac really didn't know much bout Ancient Egyptian stuff, and I've been reading about A.E. mythology since I was little.

American idol was okay tonight. That pro wrestler woman was freaky, though. She really creeped me out.

And now House is on. Yay! It's a December ep, obviously sposed to come out before the strike. There's a lotta snow outside (on the show, lol). It's really pretty.

I didn't finish my homework. I still gotta do my math and I've got Brit Lit stuff (although, that's at school), and Chem and AP Euro (both are also at school). 'Course, no one tells me we have a late start day til 6th period, so I left half my homework at school to do tomorrow, and I just won't be able to get it done with the shortened periods. And to that, I say “ach scheiss.”

Frau has GOT to be one of the cooliest teachers ever. She laughed and joked with us during class and we pretty much did nothing. German is def one of my fave classes of all time. Great people, great teacher, great times.

What's up with people and weird internet language? Like, “pwn” “teh” “evryonez” and other stupid crap that doesn't make sense to me. I really hate it when people don't type properly. Improper typing leads to improper speaking which leads to improper people. As if there's not enough of that already.

I'm SO STOKED bout Creative Writing. I don't really like that class as a whole, but I got my first story back today, and I got a 25/25. And best of all, the teach was calling people up and giving them suggestions on how to improve their writing, and he told me that my writing was great and that he didn't have any suggestions, LOL! :D WHOO!

Now I Need a Restraining Order Against My Toaster

Hello people!

Stephen Colbert interviewed this guy who wrote a book about love and sex with robots called, “Love and Sex With Robots.”

The writer, David Levy, says that people are going to start falling in love with robots cuz robots are starting to have more and more A.I. and whatnot, and that robots will be programmed (in 5 years) to have sex with humans when they want it.

I gotta say, this is prolly one of the funniest interviews ever.

“Once you go bot, you never go back, right?”

“Could you program them with multiple sets of everything?”

“They'll become virtuoso lovers and become great teachers.”
“Um…what's this gonna run me?”

“You can bring your children back into the room now.” I think you should go get this book. It sounds hi-LAR-ious.

A quick update on me: I'm still not feelin very good, but I have to go back to school tomorrow. Blech. I hate school so much. I wish it would just die. And I have a lot of work to do, still. GOD, I hate school. Only adults would force students to work their asses off even when they're feeling like total shit.

I want the LG Shine. It's a nice little phone, lol. So awesome. My phone plan ends in Octolbert and I think the Shine's what I'm gonna get.

Guess what? It's about a week til the Super Bowl. And the Pats are gonna *pardon the retarded internet language here* PWN THE GIANTS! Bam, I said, the Giants will LOSE LIKE THE LOSERS THEY ARE! WHOOO! Go Pats! Here's my prediction for the game: Pats 28, Giants 17. I highly doubt my guess will be ANYWHERE NEAR the actual final score, lol, but, ya know, just wanted to join in the score predicting that people tend to make, lol.

P.S. I hope you're feelin better, Jen!

What Am I Sposed to Curl Up in the Fetal Position Cuz of Your Pole?

Hello people!

Ahh, god, I love my shows:

“Ya know, 'Mitt Romney' in German, is 'with Romney.'” – Jon Stewart (concerning Mitt Romney's win in the Michigan primary)

“…or I will KICK, your translucent, white, ASS!” – Stephen Colbert (concerning Conan's claim that he maid Huckabee [which is a LIE])

I desperately wish I could go see The Daily Show and The Colbert Report during the strike, cuz they are AMAZERING without the writers. I mean, I love the writers, of course, but Jon and Stephen, without the writers, are more likely to break character, and I LOVE when they break down and laugh their asses off.

For example, during the January 16th episode of The Colbert Report, Stephen cracked A LOT and laughed like crazy. And during the January 17th episode of 'A' Daily Show, Jon (and John Oliver) laughed A LOT. I love it when they laugh. It makes them even more awesome. Hehe! :]

Oh, I must address something that Stephen and his guest talked about on the episode I just mentioned above. Stephen said that when we're voting for a President, essentially, we're voting for God. And he's right; most people in this country want a President with good moral values that will protect us and smite our enemies and be religious and have faith and whatnot.

In essence, the American people want God for President. Wow. Just so everyone knows, you can't actually have God for President. I think people need to move on past that idea, cuz I don't think they have yet, lol.

Well, I realized today (lol) that I haven't posted a single political blog. And ya know what? I'm not gonna. I know, I lied, lol, but since I didn't know that I wouldn't post political blogs in the future in the past, technically, I didn't lie in the past about the future. See?

I will, however, be posting random thoughts on random political aspects during random bloggings of mine. Back to my Daily Shows and Colbert Reports.

What Rhymes With Movie? Buvie…Juvie…Luvie…PLANT!

Hello people!

Why is medicine so gross? I mean, people can freeze-dry food now, right? They can make vegetable juice taste good, right? They can clone things, right? Then why can't they make medicine be delicious? I mean, I guess a reason why would be cuz then crazy people would chug the medicine and make themselves sicker, but, a solution would be to not give crazy people delicious medicine!

I want medicine that treats my nausea without making me nauseous (sp?)! I want a medicine that'll clear my sinuses without stinking like crap. I want medicine that fixes my cough without making me hack up the medicine I just choked down. So, yeah.

Selena Gomez is really awesome. She's a great actress. And she's got a very nice voice; she sounds like a crooner. I also like the new show she's on; Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney Channel. It's pretty funny. And I love that insanely dry and drab woman.

Okay, I gotta go to bed, so, g'night. I most likely won't be in school tomorrow, so, yeah.

"Gay Basher Bashed at Gay Bash!"

Hello people!

I'm watchin “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.” It's funny. But, unfortunately, I'm watchin it with my parents, and there's a sufficient amount of dirty humor in it, which makes me not wanna laugh. *sigh* I shoulda known not to watch it with them, lol.

DUDE, there are SO many people in this movie! Dave Matthews, Adam Sandler, Rob Corddry, Kevin James, David Spade, Nick Swardson Dan Aykroyd, a TONS of other peoples. Gotta love Rob and Dave and Dan…and Nick, lol. They're all bombin! :]

We've got this medicine that's super gross (it's orange-colored, but it's got a slightly minty tinge to it and it's SO GROSS). I don't wanna take it (specially cuz I don't think it even works, really). I popped two pain-relievers, but they haven't really helped at all. But I know that crappy orange medicine doesn't work. Blah. I convinced my mom to let me not take the orange-y medicine.

It's noon and I'm hungry. Toast? Toast sounds good. Maybe a sandwich. Hmm.

Okay, Chuck and Larry is super funny. I really shoulda watched this in my room by myself, lol. Oh, well. My parents watched Good Luck Chuck (WITHOUT ME, THANK FRANK) last night and I really wanna see it, cuz it looks funny, but my mom came into my room last night and said, “That movie really offended me. It was awful.” I was like, “Was it as bad as Wedding Crashers?” and she was like, “Wedding Crashers?! With Vince Vaughn?! It's no comparison!” I think she's exaggerating a bit, cuz Wedding Crashers was pretty bad, if ya ask me. Now I really wanna watch Good Luck Chuck, but my mom said she doesn't me to see it. Great. Now I'm gonna have to wait til I'm older and live by myself, lol.

Moving on…

I want some coffee. That sounds good. Really good Speedway coffee. Mmm.

Just So You Know…I DID Have Lotion…Cucumber Melon

Hola people!

Oh, sickness, how I despise thee. My nose hurts, I'm congested, and I'm coughing my brains out. Oh, and I feel nauseous (sp?).

I freakin love toast. It's, like, the best food ever invented. It's so deliciously bland. Me loves it.

iCarly is such an awesome show. I think it's safe to say that it's the best show Nickelodeon has ever come up with. Drake & Josh would be second. All That third…oh, can't forget Zoey 101, which, even though it stars that whore-ish sister of Brittney's, is a very good show.

“I want it all! I want it all! I want it all! And I want it NOW!” Love that song.

I do believe I should go get some more toast. It's the only thing that doesn't sound absolutely disgusting. Well, wafer cookies sound good, too. My parents got me SunnyD cuz of the Vitamin C in it, but I don't really like SunnyD. It only contains 5% juice. That's nasty.

Oh, well. Whatever it takes to get better. I don't think I'm gonna be able to go out with my rents tomorrow, which sucks so much. I really wanted to go to the book store and the movies. Damn it, sickness. You've destroyed my weekend.

Now watch, I'll feel like total crap tomorrow but feel great on Monday. Whoo.

Alrighty, I'm off to get more toast. It sounds REALLY good.
